Kihara’s inspiration for her book came at the age fourteen while riding upon the back of her horse in the desert, accompanied by her dog where they experienced real-life adventures together. Thirteen years later, Kihara has an undying love for horses and still has contact with the horse that helped inspire her to write this book.
