Kevin Hirons is a British author of cinematic suspense novels, blending mystery, atmosphere and the unknown into stories that stay with readers long after the final page. Whether exploring abandoned worlds beyond the stars or forgotten places much closer to home, his novels are driven by compelling characters, ancient secrets and impossible discoveries.

Born and raised in Kingston upon Hull in the North of England, Kevin grew up immersed in the worlds of Star Wars, Star Trek, Bond, Blade Runner and Alien. Alongside those cinematic influences, he developed a love for richly atmospheric storytelling through authors such as Carlos Ruiz Zafón and Timothy Zahn, whose work helped shape his own approach to mystery, character and suspense.

Although many of his novels are set within the expansive Ethelium Universe, Kevin enjoys exploring new settings and genres while remaining true to the themes that define his work: mystery, exploration, hidden histories and the unsettling moment when the impossible becomes real. His stories frequently feature strong, intelligent female protagonists whose resilience, determination and complexity often place them at the heart of the narrative.

Kevin lives with his wife and two daughters in East Yorkshire, where writing has become a lifelong passion. Since publishing his debut novel in 2024, he has continued to build a growing catalogue of science fiction, gothic mystery and suspense novels, always inviting readers to step beyond the familiar and discover what waits in the unknown.
