Kelly Garrett's debut YA mystery, The Last To Die, was a 2018 Oregon Book Award finalist and was reissued by Sourcebooks Fire in 2019. She also received a 2020 Oregon Literary Fellowship. Kelly also writes as Emmeline Duncan. Her novel Fresh Brewed Murder, A Ground Rules Mystery #1, came out from Kensington in the spring of 2021. The second novel in the series, Double Shot Death, will come out in the spring of 2022. When not writing, Kelly spends her time hiking, seeking out new coffee shops and breweries, and convincing her Great Pyrenees-mix that she's not a sheep in need of protection.
