Dr. Katie Trowbridge is an award-winning educator, TEDx speaker, leadership strategist, and CEO of Curiosity 2 Create, with more than two decades of experience helping people think more deeply and lead more boldly. A former marketing director turned high school English teacher, Katie brings a rare blend of corporate, educational, and nonprofit leadership experience to her work.

Katie’s mission has always been the same: to help people become thinkers, not just followers or memorizers. After spending 23 years in the classroom, she saw firsthand how curiosity, creative thinking, and psychological safety unlock engagement and growth. Over time, school leaders—and later business leaders—began asking how her approach could be applied beyond education. That question became the foundation for her leadership work and her belief that the business world has much to learn from great teachers.

Katie is the creator of the CREATE Method™, a practical framework used to transform curricula, teams, and organizations into environments where curiosity, risk-taking, collaboration, and problem-solving thrive. She is the author of multiple books, including Deeper Thinking in the Classroom and The Adventures of the Curious Creators Club series, and her work has been featured in outlets such as Newsweek, Fortune, Yahoo News, Miami Herald, and The Washington Times. She is also a frequent podcast guest and keynote speaker, known for blending research, storytelling, and humor.

Born and raised in the Chicago area, Katie is a wife, a mother of six (including stepchildren), and a proud grandmother of four. When she’s not writing or speaking, she enjoys reading, crocheting, traveling, and spending time with her family—especially finding moments to play, explore, and stay curious.
