Karl Talla is a Cameroonian-American author, songwriter, and creative director whose work explores identity, immigration, faith, fatherhood, and emotional survival through music and storytelling. Known musically as King Karlemagne, he has released several conceptual projects including Foreign Exchanged 2: The Voyage to Freedom, Kamericano, and The Gospel of Karlemagne. Born in Cameroon and raised in the United States from the age of nine, Karl’s artistic voice is shaped by the intersection of African heritage, diaspora experiences, and deeply personal reflection. His work often blends layered lyricism with cinematic storytelling and autobiographical themes. He is also the author of Once Upon a Time in America and the founder of Nomad Est. 2000 and the ADO Foundation. I Hope U Get It: Poems, Songs & Lyrics 4 My Daughter continues his evolution as both a recording artist and literary voice, documenting the journey from survival to legacy through the lens of fatherhood.
