K.S.R. Kingworth builds fantasy worlds from the ground up — literally. She spent 2.5 years creating Primørdian, a fully constructed language with its own grammar and cultural context, forming the linguistic heart of her Primørdiya trilogy. Carli Rockell and the Fire Seed, Book One, comes with a 22-track orchestral soundtrack she produced with Suno, based on scenes in the story. She writes from The Nosebleed — her three-story perch above San Miguel de Allende, Mexico — where hummingbirds occasionally fly inside to perch on her finger and a ringtail visits nightly to nibble mesquite pods outside her window. A multilingual writer who taught herself Greek as a child, Kingworth speaks three languages, understands several more, and brings both playfulness and precision to her storytelling. Her debut YA fantasy, Secret Speakers, earned a starred review from School Library Journal and was narrated by Booklist’s Voice of Choice, Simon Vance. After a long publishing hiatus, she returned during the pandemic — creating not just stories but entire linguistic systems and orchestral compositions inspired by the worlds she imagines.
