Justin Greer was born in Provo, Utah, and currently lives just a few miles north in Lindon, Utah, though in between he spent significant time in Mexico, Pennsylvania, and Wales. He's been writing stories for most of his life, starting with a yellow legal pad at age 10 when he first learned it was possible to write stories like the ones he loved. Over the years, his love for fantasy, adventure, science fiction, and horror has deepened and broadened, culminating in publishing his own stories for the world to read. His favorite writers and influences include JRR Tolkien, Terry Brooks, David Gemmell, James Clemens/Rollins, Kate Forsyth, Brandon Sanderson, Steven Erikson, Tim Akers, Poul Anderson, Bradley P. Beaulieu, Terry Pratchett, Italo Calvino, Katharine Kerr, Edgar Rice Burroughs, Brian Lumley, and Tad Williams. Justin's writing centers on myth, magic, hope, sacrifice, adventure, nature, companionship, and the intimate impact of human conflict against man, beast, world, deity, and existence. Justin is an avid fan of music, movies, board & card games, Icelandic sagas, medieval history, tabletop RPGs, and mythology. He's a father of two fantastic boys and a husband to a wonderful wife. He spends his time reading, lifting weights, taking long walks, traveling, running, cooking, studying languages, hiking, and working as a freelance editor.
