Julie Marie Wagg lives in California. Julie worked as a dog groomer for the past sixteen years. Her beloved dog, Bentlee, reopened the creative side of her mind to the world of writing, but this time with children's books. Julie began writing around the age of 7 when she created a song called 'Cool Boy,' which her father helped compose with an electric guitar. Eventually, she transitioned from journaling and songwriting to spoken word and poetry. Her children's stories are very much inspired by her natural surroundings and animal-centric environment, with main themes being about loving both yourself and other's while finding strength and beauty in one another's differences. Her work is inspired by emotion and she strives for good rhythm and rhyme across all her work. Julie takes Bentlee everywhere she goes. They wake up cuddling, go on daily adventures, and she loves to take pictures for his Instagram. Bentlee is the best gift she's ever been given.
