My name is Julia Meade, and I am 22 years old. The founding author of P. Green Dragon was my grandmother, Susan Gullion, who began writing this book around 1985, however she only wrote the first few pages of the story that you will read today. She passed away in August of 2023, and passed the story on to my own mother, Jasi Meade, who promised to finish the story and publish it before she too passed away. My mother’s health conditions somewhat impacted her vision, however they did not at all impact her creativity or her writing abilities, so she created a rough draft that completed the book with her own ideas, and called on me to put her ideas onto the page. I helped my mom transform the beautiful world of P. Green Dragon, that she had dreamed of since she was child, into the heartwarming story that it is today. My mother passed away on May 1st 2025, and nothing makes me happier than being able to carry on this legacy that meant so much to her for so long. I hope this story reaches as many families as possible, and inspires children not only to find joy in making friends and helping others, but to DREAM BIG!
