Judith Hages was born in Düren, Rhineland, in 1983 and grew up there. She discovered her passion for writing and collecting books at an early age. She works as an archivist (B.A.) at the Euskirchen City Archives and is actively involved in the Düren Alliance Against the Right, which fights against right-wing extremism. In 2021, her historical novel “Zeitenschmiede” was published by Hahne und Schloemer Verlag; after the first edition, she published the book independently via BoD. Her second novel, “Provinz-Anomalien,” followed in 2022 under the pseudonym Stella Nickel. In January 2026, the work was published under her own name with the new title “40 ist das neue Chaos” (40 is the new chaos). Her third book, the historical novel “Zeit des Gewissens” (Time of Conscience), was published on January 27, 2025. She received the Düren Literature Prize for the beginning of the novel, originally titled “Das getriebene Herz” (The Driven Heart). In addition to novels, Judith Hages occasionally writes essays for various anthologies and yearbooks.
