Joshua Spencer is a Jamaican-Canadian educator and author. He acquired his secondary and tertiary education at Manning's School, Sam Sharpe Teachers' Training College, and York University, Canada's third largest university. He is the father of Jamaica's hurdler, 2006 World Junior Champion, two-time Olympian (Olympic Bronze Medallist), twenty-one (21) time Diamond League winner (4 Diamond Champion Trophies), and 2014 Commonwealth Champion, Kaliese Carter (née Spencer), high school teacher, Kadisha Spencer, and university graduate, Michael Spencer. Joshua is the author of several books. Among them presently are Bizarre, a true story written in the form of a fictional novel, Six Months (Books 1 & 2) where two lovers "meet" via Facebook, Fluctuating Life, his book of poetry, Contemporary Issues: Science, Africa, and More, & his scintillating and extremely moving autobiography, From New Mills to New Life. It, like Bizarre, also reads like a novel for most of its duration.
