Joseph Souza's award-winning short stories have been published in various journals throughout the country. Winner of the Andre Dubus Award for his short fiction, he also won Honorable Mention for the Al Blanchard Award. In 2013 he won the Maine Literary Award for his novel, THE REAWAKENING. In 2020 his novel, PRAY FOR THE GIRL, won runner-up for Best Maine Crime Novel. His best-selling mysteries, UNPAVED SURFACES and NEED TO FIND YOU, were published by Amazon imprint, Kindle Press. His psychological thrillers, THE NEIGHBOR, PRAY FOR THE GIRL and THE PERFECT DAUGHTER were published by Kensington. His latest domestic thriller, THE ANCHORMAN’S WIFE (Level Best Books), comes out 10/23/2023. He lives near Portland, Maine with his wife.
