Joseph O. Chapa is a lieutenant colonel in the US Air Force. He has served as a Predator pilot and instructor pilot, an instructor of philosophy at the US Air Force Academy, and a staff officer at the Pentagon. He holds a PhD in philosophy from the University of Oxford. His work on military ethics has been published in several online, print, and peer-reviewed publications. he currently serves on the Air Staff, where he focuses on AI ethics for the Department of the Air Force.
