Jonathan began writing stories at an early age and recently uncovered an old attempt at a Count Dracula tale, probably written when he was around eleven. Inspired by authors such as Douglas Adams, Terrance Dicks, Roald Dahl, and later Dean Koontz, he developed a lasting love of fantasy and science fiction. Jonathan studied Systems Design at the University of the West of England, Bristol, before spending much of his career in the IT industry, living and working across the UK, Estonia, Bulgaria, Malaysia and Cyprus. His travels inspired several non-fiction books on property investment before leading him to write The Secret on the Second Shelf, a supernatural fantasy adventure for readers aged 8+. Jonathan is a father of three and enjoys photography, travel, and filmmaking. He later adapted his novel into a short film titled No Such Thing As Monsters, released in 2017.
