John has spent his professional career working in information technology by day and exploring a variety of creative and religious pursuits by evenings/weekends. In this capacity, he has preached hundreds of sermons, taught countless Bible study classes, and written dozens of articles. He enjoys singing in his church choir, doting on his wonderful grandchildren, and of course, all things Kansas City—the Chiefs, the Royals, Sporting KC, KC Current, and the KC Symphony, to name a few of Kansas City’s highlights. He believes that, if not for his long-lost youthful metabolism, he could eat Kansas City barbecue every day! John is the author of the Holy Terror series, which brings to life his angelic hero, Thumos, and a host of other memorable characters. The series, beginning with Holy Terror and now continuing with Holy Terror Quickened, features detectives Lane Madigan and Ian Jelani, whose encounters with Thumos lead to life-changing results.
