Author, Joe Field, is an attorney in Anoka, Minnesota, who released his first book in January 2020, a memoir titled "Finding Joe Adams". As described in his memoir his first writing was a fictional story he wrote in eighth grade. When his teacher read it, she typed it up overnight and gave it to Joe the next day, asking him to read it to the class. As Joe says in his memoir "on that day I became a writer." He then would be awarded the Journalism Department award his senior year. Later in life he would serve as Vice-President of the MN Christian Writers Guild. But, with the exception of writing commentary and letters to the editor, his writing was placed on hold for decades as he worked his day job. And then one event changed everything. In 2017 Joe found his long lost father at age 60. This event, captured by national television, was viewed by over a million people. Now writing could no longer be put off and Joe rocketed out his literary hibernation to produce his first book, "Finding Joe Adams". This memoir would earn Joe a Silver Medal in an international writing contest offered by Readers' Favorite in the categoy "Non-Fiction Audiobook" and a Bronze Medal for "Christian Non-Fiction". A second book, a fiction thriller, is in the works. An avid reader, fisherman and hunter, Joe resides in Ramsey, Minnesota with his wife, Betty, and has two daughters, and a stepson.
