Joanne has been writing her entire life, but this is her debut in the publishing world. She has been a teacher for almost 33 years and retired only a few years ago to serve a mission for her church in the Cuiabá Mission, Brazil. Now, she returns, ready to share her stories with the world. Joanne graduated from Arizona State University in 1989 with a teaching degree and minor in English Language Arts and Spanish. She has taught in elementary, as well as Junior High, and High School. But her favorite and most experience comes from teaching middle school. She went on to earn a Master's in Reading and Reading Difficulties with a Magna Cum Laude GPA from Southern Utah University in Cedar City in 2015. She also earned a Master's Equivalent from UC Berkeley in TESOL In 1995. Joanne has rich experiences having lived in Venezuela, Taiwan, Russia, and Brazil and builds on those experiences for her storytelling and writing. She is the mother of six children and stepmother to 6 and she and her husband share a combined total of 21 grandchildren, all who give her such joy. She resides in the Salt Lake Valley and is excited to now be publishing her works.
