Born in England and raised in Lagos, Nigeria, Jimi Fawehinmi encountered the transforming power of the gospel in 1993 during a Sunday service at his mother’s church. That moment marked the beginning of a lifelong journey of faith that continues to shape both his personal life and his work as a Christian author. Now based in the United Kingdom, Jimi serves as a Specialty Doctor in Accident and Emergency medicine. Alongside caring for physical need, he remains deeply mindful of the greater hope found in spiritual restoration. He is an active member of his local church community, where he continues to grow in faith, service, and discipleship. Jimi believes he is called to explore and share biblical truth through creative expression. His writing spans biblical fiction, devotional works, and Scripture-based study and engagement books, all written with reverence for the Word and a desire to encourage thoughtful faith. His work seeks to illuminate Scripture through story, reflection, and practical application, inviting both believers and seekers to encounter Christ more deeply. His short story Jesus “Son of David” stands at the heart of this calling, reimagining the biblical narrative to explore lineage, redemption, and faith through a reflective and devotional lens. Companion works and related titles are designed to support deeper study, personal reflection, and group engagement .For readers drawn to reflective Scripture-based storytelling, a devotional workbook companion to Jesus “Son of David” is also available. Outside of writing and medicine, Jimi enjoys sports and classic cinema, with the 1959 epic Ben-Hur remaining a favourite for its enduring themes of grace, forgiveness, and divine purpose. He is a proud father of two adult children and remains grateful for the opportunity to serve God through every season of life.
