Jill Wilson is the founder of Side-Eye Ink, a tiny imprint for stories that don’t do performative inspiration. Her work is candid, outspoken, and deeply human—equal parts tenderness and teeth.

An MSW student and human rights advocate (and a two-time breast cancer survivor), Jill writes at the intersection of bodies and systems with a stubborn belief that wellness is a human right. If she’s building a practice lens, it’s wellness social work: whole-person care with a systems-level side-eye and zero interest in gatekeeping who deserves support.

She wrote Off My Chest as a practical, unvarnished companion for anyone navigating uncertainty—medical or otherwise—and for the people who love them and don’t know what to say. Jill lives in Longmont, Colorado, where she shares life with her husband, Scott, and their blended family—plus the kind of background chaos that makes silence feel suspicious. When she’s not writing or studying, you can find her chasing trailhead therapy, at her pottery wheel, painting, or hunting down conversations that tell the truth and still leave room for joy.
