Jeff Ragsdale is an American author, actor, documentary filmmaker, and national game show champion. He is best known for his starring role in the award-winning feature film, HOTLINE, and for his book JEFF, ONE LONELY GUY (2012), which was a Top 100 Amazon.com bestseller and selected by Dave Eggers for inclusion in The Best American Nonrequired Reading 2012. Ragsdale's book, Jeff, One Lonely Guy, is considered "revolutionary". Critically acclaimed novelist, Bret Easton Ellis, asserts that Ragsdale created "a new art form ... the first example of successful post-Empire reportage yet". On September 19, 2012, Ragsdale gave one of the "great inspirational speeches" on The Jeff Probst Show. In the interview Ragsdale challenged humanity "to get out and help each other ... it should be 'us us us--not me me me'".
