Dr. Jason A. Patterson is an orthopedic surgeon based in Arizona, where he lives with his wife and three children. The City of the Gods marks his debut as an author, an unexpected creative venture for someone who hadn’t written more than a paragraph since high school.

Having grown up in a divorced home, Jason and his wife share the belief that our circumstances don’t define who we become. They hold that each of us has the power to shape our own story—to choose our own path—with the free will God has given us.
