Hello and welcome to my Amazon page. I started writing for children at the age of 40 when I was working as a library assistant.There were plenty of rejections before my first picture book came out in 2001, but since then I have had lots more published.It's always a huge thrill to see the illustrations for the first time. As well as books in my own name,I have poems in many anthologies for children and I was a 'ghost writer' for the exciting Dinosaur Cove series under the pseudonym Rex Stone. It's great fun being a full time writer and I love to visit primary schools to share my books and talk about being an author, and to run poetry and/or creative writing workshops.
