J. Omar Hansen is a professional actor, storyteller, award-winning playwright, and a retired university professor. His plays and musicals have been produced at schools, universities, and theatres across the country. He and his wife Lori are the founders of the Great Bear Folk Theatre, a performing group dedicated to telling stories in many forms and mediums. He spent 20 years on faculty at BYU-Idaho where he created the narrative theatre program, with his students performing for over 2500 school children every fall. He and Lori recently created Great Bear Productions, LLC, a licensing company for Omar’s plays and musicals, as well as a showcase for their novels, storytelling, and films. “The Stargleamer” is his first published novel, with several in the works. He and his wife have been married for forty years and they are the proud parents of five children and six amazing grandchildren.
