James Kingzett was a passionate advocate for renewable energy, sustainable development, and infrastructure resilience. With decades of experience in alternative energy and a deep interest in geothermal power, he devoted much of his life to exploring practical solutions for a more secure and self-reliant energy future. His work and vision were shaped by hands-on involvement in renewable energy projects, especially in Nevada, where he and his family invested time and resources into geothermal development.

In The New Dark, Kingzett combines his knowledge of energy systems with sharp wit, political insight, and a gift for storytelling to deliver a powerful warning about the fragility of modern society. His writing reflects not only his concern for the future of the electrical grid, but also his belief that innovation, preparedness, and renewable energy can help build a more resilient world.
