Hi, I’m Jackie – thanks for visiting my author’s page! I am the founder of Baby Bumps Hypnobirthing and Inner Medicine Hypnotherapy. A testing and traumatic first birth followed some years later which led to me discovering, what was then, the up and coming world of hypnobirthing. This I embraced as an alternative antenatal approach for my second pregnancy, and through it, was able to experience a hugely positive and healing birth experience. I felt compelled and driven to want to help as many women and their partners as possible, have the same positive experiences and start to parenthood as I had experienced after my daughter’s birth. I decided to train with the NCT, facilitating my first course in 2012 and this was then followed by qualifying to become a hypnobirthing practitioner and more recently, a cognitive behavioural hypnotherapist, which have resulted in my hypnobirthing classes being a synergistic and highly-effective combination of 3 areas of study, delivering empowering results. I wrote the book as if I were facilitating one of my antenatal courses so it acts as a great recap on any courses you may have done, or can help you out if you've not had the time or ability to complete and in person course.
