Jackie Eckert has worked professionally with dogs for over 20 years, specializing in the toughest and most and problematic behaviors. Her experience with rescue organizations, dog daycares, veterinary clinics, and hundreds of private training clients has given her a rare, insider view of today's growing dog behavior crisis.

She wrote The American Dog Epidemic after realizing that the problem isn't "bad dogs" or "bad owners," but a flood of outdated information and misguided societal beliefs shaping how people raise, interact, and train their dogs. These deeply ingrained ideas not only fail to solve behavior problems—they often create them.

Jackie's work is bold, controversial, and unapologetically honest. She challenges the long-accepted "truths" of the dog world and helps people understand how their beliefs are sabotaging their success and their dogs' well-being. Her mission is to cut through the noise, reveal the epidemic of misunderstanding, and equip people with the tools to raise calm, respectful, and truly trustworthy companions—while learning to interact with dogs in a way that brings out their very best.
