When people ask where “home” is, JP Raley smiles and says they’re from everywhere. As the child of a U.S. Army servicemember, they spent their early years moving between Alabama, Germany, and a Texan “home base” in Garland. Those frequent relocations taught them that belonging isn’t defined by an address but by the stories we carry in our hearts. After graduating as a Griffin from Giessen American High School in 1992, they went on to earn a bachelor’s degree and, later, an MBA. Yet the classrooms in Garland and the halls in Germany remain the brightest chapters of their education, reminding them that curiosity and wonder can flourish wherever life plants you. Writing is as vital to them as eating, sleeping, or breathing. Whether they’re weaving poetry, scripting a comic-book arc, or drafting a screenplay, each word pulses with the hope of connecting souls across time and space. They believe that by sharing stories today, they gift future readers a window into dreams, struggles, and the spark that makes us feel alive. Their creative passion is fueled by the joy of discovery—of self, of others, and of imagination’s uncharted corners. Every work they produce is an invitation to explore new worlds, heal old wounds, and inspire readers to pick up their own pens and tell their truths on how “Creativity is the spark of their life and words the life of their soul.”
