Pancakes! Now I have your attention. I write books, primarily fantasy though I'm working up the courage to write science fiction. I write from the idea that character motivation should always trump plot; who they are and what they want means more than Event A, B, or even Event C. Oh yes, I went there. Event C can kiss my ass. I also design games. More importantly, my gaming and interest in everything to do with it colors my writing. A lot. It's gamer writing.
