J. Stopa is a proud Canadian author of Christian short stories whose writing blends deep faith with vivid storytelling. Drawing on years of theological study and pastoral ministry, Stopa invites readers to encounter the mystery of God in the everyday. Rooted in Franciscan spirituality and a love of nature, he highlights grace in ordinary lives. Holding several degrees in religion and theology and with strong interests in sociology and film studies, Stopa brings both scholarly depth and cinematic imagination to each book. Living in Ontario with three adored dogs and two cats, he continues to craft collections such as Starry Night, This Is the Night, and Veni Creator Spiritus—stories that re-tell scripture, trace the movement of the Holy Spirit, and reveal the sacred in common moments, offering readers a fresh and hopeful encounter with faith.
