Ivette Smith is a retired U.S. Air Force veteran, independent author, and publisher based in Abilene, Texas. Born in Puerto Rico and shaped by a 23-year military career, she has called many places home — and today writes from a small town in West Texas. She writes about bipolar disorder because she has it. She writes about aging because she is living it. She writes about publishing because she paid for an expensive education to learn it the hard way, and then wrote three books so you wouldn't have to. Her catalog spans self-help, wellness, mental health, technology, natural living, and fiction. Her publishing series — The Accidental Author, The Calm Way to Publish a Book, and The Practical Author — documents the real process of independent publishing, written while she was still in the middle of it. She publishes under Eve Wander Ventures, LLC. Her fiction series, the Lathurna Chronicles, is forthcoming.
