Mr Thinkalot’s Fantastic Space Journey was the first book I wrote and illustrated, I really had a blast writing it and creating the book as its subjects that I care so much about. My first book It was all new to me, not just the writing and illustrating but everything that comes with it, marketing and promotion I’m not really good at. Social media and technology I’m not really good at that either. I find it difficult to promote and market my books, but I try and I am hoping and thinking of better ways of doing this. Hello and thank you for showing interest. My name is Ian Mayes, I am 40 and I live in the United Kingdom. I love the UK and I enjoy chatting to anyone, whether that be people from the UK or any other part of the world. One thing I really care about is humanity, Climate change and Global warming, I am fully aware everyone has different views on the subject. There are people who believe and there are people who do not believe in it. Global warming and Climate change can happen naturally on the Earth but humans and our practices and ways of doing things scientifically have been proven to increase the temperature of our planet. I have Osteoarthiritis and sometimes this slows me down or makes things much harder but I will always persist and strive to do more. Growing up and being enthralled with nature and our living planet and how things work, how one species may die off/ become extinct and how that can affect other species of animals, bugs etc or even plants and trees. When I was younger I wanted to learn about all these subjects and also how we can improve things or what effects we have on the planet and how are population increase can affect our surrounding environment. As I got a bit older and Climate change become more of a conversation spoken about in todays times. I wanted to help younger people understand it as I am fully aware how it can upset or worry others. I wanted to simplify it and explain we have time to change our ways in a positive way. With my books I hope to make it less of a worry, to see the positives but also to acknowledge there’s still time left to address the issues we could face. I also believe younger people should be aware of the potential risks if we carry on with no regards and what life could possibly be like. Honesty is the best policy to educate, but I wanted to create the books on the premise that you learn in the background while on a fantastic/spectacular fun filled exciting space adventure. Thank you to the people who have supported and shown interest, to the ones who have purchased my books, read, reviewed and enjoyed them in varied age groups. I appreciate the feedback and reviews so much. The support you give is highly important in order for me to carry on doing what I love and feel inspired to do, my books are there to help others. My 3rd book will help teach basic food/drink nutrition as I think it’s important for future generations to understand why it is so important. Thank you 🌎
