My name is Ian Mayes (I.M.Mayes) and I live in the UK.

I am an Author and Illustrator and I am on a mission to inspire healthy habits and bright futures one story at a time.

I started writing and illustrating 7 years ago with a clear goal in mind, I wanted to make complex difficult topics easier to read, explain and to understand and to make the topics easily accessible for younger readers. To simplify the topics in a fun and engaging, exciting way.

My books do just that, they educate on topics that parents, teachers may find them hard to explain.

“A day in the life of Russell Sprout” - A book that teaches nutrition and healthy eating, it simplifies the subject for younger readers. Healthy eating is important to me and it’s a subject I care about. Younger ones should have access to the knowledge at a young age so they can make better informed choices growing up for a healthier future for them.

“Mr Thinkalot’s Fantastic Space Journey 2.0” - A book that teaches global warming and climate change to younger readers in a gentle, positive, hopeful approach that we have time to change our ways. The 2.0 is the latest upgraded version of my original book published back in 2020 Re-Illustrated and many story changes and improvements.

Climate change and global warming can be a scary subject for younger ones, it can also be hard to understand or explain. I love the Earth, nature and humanity and that’s why I was inspired to write this series.

“Mr Thinkalot’s Spectacular Space Journey 2.0” - Second book in the series of Mr Thinkalot, the 2.0 version has been Re-illustrated and many story changes and improvements from my original book published back in 2021.
