Dr. Henya Shanun-Klein is a Professor of Psychology (PhD) and a Thanatologist (FT) in the United States. She is the founder of the Thanatology Program in Israel, a lecturer, researcher, published author, therapist, and a long-time volunteer for international rescue organizations. Shanun-Klein is a pioneer in her studies on Parental Bereavement, and has served on the ADEC committee helping to compose the Code of Ethics. Born in Europe as the second generation of Holocaust survivors, she grew up in Israel and served in the Israeli army. Henya is the widow of Professor Norman Kagan, and a bereaved mother of her beloved daughter Gili Klein. Her cherished son Shai and granddaughters Jessica and Mika are a source of great comfort, joy and happiness to her.
