Each day, Helen spends imaginative hours weaving delightful tales of sweet, destination romance and epic fantasy. To bring her back to earth, she also educates young minds in her local elementary school, and navigates the open roads in a large yellow bus, as she carries a license to drive anything on wheels (with or without her signature stilettoes and lipstick). She grew up on the family farm near Marshall, Saskatchewan, Canada, where her family raises Charolais cattle and gophers (the latter being purely coincidental and highly unappreciated). However, while she loves the bucolic prairies, her passions lead her to explore fabulous European destinations. That’s why you’ll find enchanting countries woven through her work. Each romance is set in an exotic location we all would love to visit. This allows readers to journey alongside relatable characters as their ordinary lives transform into extraordinary adventures. With twists and turns along the way, there’s never a dull moment—but always a happy ending. Helen also delves into the realm of fantasy. Since her youth, many years hence, Helen has been enamoured with magical worlds and fantastical creatures. There was nothing so wonderful as to flee mundane life and find herself in Middle-earth or Narnia, transported into other worlds through books. She dreamed of writing those same sorts of tales. Thankfully, that particular dream came true. When not lost in the pages of a book herself or tapping out another novel, you can find Helen shoveling endless amounts of snow (it's Canada after all), creating decadent desserts, or strumming her guitar.
