Heike Fröhling decided early on not to take a conventional path in life, but to follow her own. Even during her studies (musicology, German language and literature, school music), she knew that she wanted to tell stories. She has been an author since 1999—first as a journalist, later as a novelist under several publishers (including Aufbau, Ullstein, Amazon Publishing, Knaur) and through self-publishing. Her works deal with setting out, discovering, and being on the road. She has three adult children and lives with her husband, her twin latecomers, two dogs, and two cats in Wiesbaden. For better classification of her works, the psychological thrillers appear under the pseudonym Leonie Haubrich, while the other novels appear under her real name, Heike Fröhling.
