Hayley Hoskins writes historical and contemporary young-adult and middle-grade fiction, and she loves anything a bit dark and gloomy and scary and funny. Although first published at the age of twenty-one, it was getting long listed for the Bath Children's Novel award in 2015 that made Hayley believe that *maybe* she could do this writing thing full-time, and subsequently she has thrown out all her office clothes. No pressure. She dips into the sea whenever possible, so let's say 'wild swimming' is her favourite hobby. She spends as much time as she can with her wonderful friends - some of whom are writers, some not; as an only child, it delights her that in adulthood she has gathered a joyful amount of sisters. Originally from the Forest of Dean, Hayley lives in Cheltenham with her family and hairy breeze-block of a dog in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. Follow Hayley on Twitter @HayleyHoskins
