Hey, guys~

I’m Harper Dale, and I thank you for joining me here. I believe love is nothing if it doesn’t burn. Who wants a lukewarm love?

I left my career in the news business for the creative freedom of writing fiction. It’s such a joy to delve into my imagination and craft stories around things I’ve seen. I learned that no matter where I worked, from the East Coast to the West, people are the same. Some are leaders, some followers. Some are cruel, others selfless.

People love. People lust. People hate.

During my years working in news, I covered and interviewed everyone from mass murderers to governors, sat with the loved ones of murder victims, and interviewed their killers in prison.

It was a colorful career that translates into stories.

The people I write about are compilations of people I interviewed and observed over the years, but what they have in common is they’re all colored by my imagination. No one is real in my books, but I might take a tic from someone real and implant it in one of my characters. I write small-town romance- Texas Grit novels Denim & Dust and the upcoming sequel, Diamonds & Rust. You. Again. is a standalone novel set in 1980s Abilene, Texas, between a cop and a cop reporter. My mafia romance books include DeVecchio Legacy and Master of Omission.
