They say every picture tells a story. In Daniel’s case every story paints a picture of the characters in his life, living in his heart, hiding in his mind. As mysterious HJ Furl, he writes allsorts of genre: dark, erotic romance, drama, sci-fi, horror and fantasies, laced with a liberal dash of intrigue. Daniel lives in England with the love of his life. He learned to write fiction online, and published his first book three years later. These days he is the treasurer of an established writers’ circle that has just celebrated its 85th anniversary. A founder member of the read-and-write group that meets on Thursday mornings in the chapel of a lovely hotel. An active contributor to a vast online group of scribes, a few of whom meet face-to-face at the art café nearest the mouth of his father’s beloved River Arun. And occasional panellist for an online and live self-publishing festival for lively authors held in Aylesbury. When he is not writing, he loves to ramble the beautiful countryside with Ailsa or tend his bounteous allotment. He thrills to all tastes in music, theatre, and films. Sadly, Daniel only reads gripping books, like Animal by Lisa Taddeo and If Only by Vigdis Hjorth, as he does tend to get bored rather easily. His life wasn’t always like this...
