Gunnar Branson currently serves as CEO of The Association of Foreign Investors in Real Estate, (AFIRE), but he didn’t always wear a suit and tie. He was an actor on stage, radio, and television, and authored six different plays that very few people saw. To pay the rent, he waited tables, cooked, tended bar, taught classes, and worked as a secretary. Eventually day-jobs evolved into an unlikely career in commercial real estate, professional services, finance, and association leadership.

Gunnar has lived and worked in cities like Chicago, New York, and Washington, DC. He now resides in Alexandria, Virginia, with his wife, Mia Mulrennan. His childhood chasing lights in Alaska revealed the world’s wonders to him.
