Empowering others to live with greater confidence, resilience, and joy.

Inspired early in life by Gandhi’s belief to “be the change you want to see in the world,” Gina Vild has long dedicated herself to advancing positive social change. Her work has centered on service, education, healthcare, and communications, while her personal advocacy has focused on creating a more compassionate and just society.

Her life has also been a profound study in resilience. Having endured significant personal loss and adversity, she has known the struggle to find stability and certainty in the face of life's upheavals. Through it all, she has remained committed to living with hope, gratitude, and purpose, and to helping others thrive in the aftermath of hardship.

Why some people rebound from adversity while others struggle to recover has long fascinated her. That question, together with her own life experiences, led her to become a student of resilience. It also inspired BUOYANT: The Art and Science of a Resilient Life, in which she shares wisdom, research, stories, and practical tools that have helped her and countless others navigate life's inevitable challenges and find the strength to move forward.

Throughout her career, Vild has held senior leadership positions in strategic communications and thought leadership and has been recognized for her expertise in navigating complex, high-stakes crises. She has been honored to serve Harvard Medical School, Massachusetts General Hospital, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, MIT, and the Office of Governor Richard F. Celeste.

Most recently, she served as Associate Dean for External Relations and Communications at Harvard Medical School, where she was responsible for shaping the institution's global voice, reputation, and influence, and for communicating its scientific, educational, and policy contributions to audiences worldwide.

Her work also took her across the globe, representing Harvard Medical School in Dubai, Shanghai, Kuala Lumpur, Portugal, and beyond. In 2011, she was the only American invited to address journalists from across the Arab world at the Arab Media Forum in Dubai.

Vild also served as a judge for the Clinton Foundation Health Matters Codeathon and was a longtime moderator and participant in the Clinton Foundation Health Matters Initiative.
She has served on the boards of several mission-driven organizations, including the Li-Fraumeni Syndrome Association; the 333 Collective, a network dedicated to women's empowerment; Healthspan AI, which is advancing innovation in medicine through the responsible use of artificial intelligence; and Rescuing Leftover Cuisine, which redistributes surplus food to people in need. She also served as communications chair for IM4U Learning, a volunteer organization dedicated to encouraging young people to vote.

Among her greatest blessings are her daughter and son, who live with curiosity, conviction, and heart. A voracious reader, poetry enthusiast, and world traveler, Vild also enjoys creating uplifting social media content. Protecting the planet, advocating for animal welfare, and using her voice to spur civic engagement are longstanding passions. At the heart of it all is a deep commitment to helping others develop the tools, confidence, and perspective to lead happier, more resilient lives.
