Gill Mather is a solicitor by profession, running her own general practice until 2020, and is the author of 14 contemporary mystery/crime/romance novels/novellas and since 2023 the author of 5 historical fiction books based on Jane Austen’s Pride & Prejudice. Gill is married with two grown-up sons and a very sweet cat called Suzie. She lives in East Anglia, a little off the beaten track, and is a member of The Society of Authors and a number of book-writers’ groups. She loves reading historical fiction. Particular favourites are S W Perry, Ann Swinfen, Laura Shepherd-Robinson and Robert Harris. Apart from writing, Gill has dabbled in a number of hobbies in the past, but now mainly likes to ramble within a few miles of her home.
