George Newkirk is a U.S. Marine Corps and Vietnam veteran whose life has been marked by service, hardship, and an extraordinary will to survive.

He grew up in the small coal-mining town of Martin, Utah, where he learned the importance of family, loyalty, hard work, and keeping your word. Those values stayed with him when he joined the Marines and later served in Vietnam.

The war followed George home in ways he never expected. Exposure to Agent Orange led to decades of serious health problems, including multiple heart attacks, major surgeries, diabetes, and eventually a heart transplant. Along the way, he built a career, raised a family, found brotherhood in the motorcycle community, and continued to face each new challenge with determination.

In Living with Agent Orange: Life and Times of a Marine Vietnam Veteran, George tells his story with honesty and heart. It is a story about war and its lasting effects, but it is also about family, loyalty, loss, betrayal, brotherhood, and the strength to keep going when life changes everything.
