Gavin answered his call to service by working as a professional cop, and he is honored to have protected and served the public in this manner. After spending most of his weekends and holidays in a cop car of one kind or another, Gavin's training and experience in Patrol, Narcotics, S.W.A.T., Counter-Terrorism, and Dark Web investigations provide an ever-growing queue of ideas and stories for his fact-based fiction. Although rare, Gavin tries to keep his free time devoted to family, travel, martial arts, SCUBA diving, mountaineering, and pursuing the perfect ice cream, which he suspects is Tiramisu Gelato from Viennese street vendors. Unsurprisingly, he has a strong opinion on the Oxford comma. His first post-COVID priority will be dodging Staties en route to hug his grandparents. Gavin actively prays for sympathetic troopers.
