Gavin P. Fraser was born in George, South Africa, in 1958. He graduated in Chemical Engineering from the University of Cape Town and began his career in the oil industry, working by day and singing opera by night while completing both an MBA and a degree in Musicology. A move to London in the early 1990s brought him into the world of international management consulting. Over the next two decades he worked in more than 35 countries. He specialised in organisation transformation, business strategy, innovation, leadership development and corporate culture change. Alongside his business life, Gavin recorded two albums of original songs and recorded Mozart’s Symphonies Nos. 40 and 41 with the Danube Symphony Orchestra — recordings that went on to become among the most streamed interpretations of these classics worldwide. He now divides his time between writing books and music, designing gardens, and travelling widely. His books include The Nine Values That Shaped Great Britain – And Why ‘Nice’ Won’t Save Us, The Moral Stress of Nations, Two Opposite Voices in Stone and Why We Hate Each Other. He is based between the UK, Europe, and Asia, and has three children.
