Life is an amazing journey. For most of my life, I have lived in Nebraska. After graduating from high school in 1972 I moved to Houston Texas to attend Gulf Coast Bible College, which is now Mid-America Christian University in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. I began studying psychology and it was a good fit for me. I was fortunate to be recognized as the top psychology student of the year, three years in a row. I returned to Nebraska in 1979 and helped start a Christian School, then began pastoring my home church and later a second church in western Nebraska. As my life journey continued to evolve I found myself back in school at the University of Nebraska at Kearney, working on a master's degree in counseling. While going to school I ran a construction business that employed 3 other college students and my son. The next chapter of the journey brought me into the counseling profession as I graduated with my master's degree, began practicing in an out-patient mental health clinic, and then beginning my own private practice. My wife Susan and I continue to live in Kearney Nebraska. We have six children and fourteen grandchildren. I enjoy team sports, camping, hunting. fishing, and every now and then I find time to lose a few golf balls.
