Gary Heads is a British novelist whose work has been translated into multiple languages. The Enlightened Spaniel Trilogy has made the bestsellers list in countries around the world. His work leans heavily towards spirituality and nature; it would be rare to find a book that does not have a dog or cat wandering between the pages. Gary holds an MSc in Mindfulness and has taught and practised meditation for long periods of his adult life. His first book Living Mindfully – Discovering Authenticity through Mindfulness and Coaching was published by Wiley-Blackwell in 2017. In 2019 the author’s interest in Buddhism and his love of springer spaniels influenced the publication of A Dog’s Quest to be a Buddhist. The success of the book led to two further novels in the series: The Cat with One Life Left, published in 2020, and The Stone of Truth in 2021. Gary currently lives in County Durham in North-East England.
