My name is Gitana Andujar, and I was born in the beautiful town of Bayaguana in the Dominican Republic. My childhood was filled with challenges and sacrifices as I came from a low-income family. However, from a young age, I knew that my determination and passion would lead me to achieve my dreams. I grew up alongside my aunts and my mother, who worked tirelessly to support us. At the age of nine, we moved to the Consuelo sugar mill in San Pedro de Macorís, where we faced economic difficulties and scarcity. Despite the hardships, I never lost hope and found ingenious ways to generate income, such as selling products and seeking opportunities in the market. My life took an unexpected turn when I met my father at the age of twelve. Although I hadn't seen him before, I realized that we were incredibly alike. My father was a successful man, owning supermarkets, factories, restaurants, and buildings. Despite the irony of my situation, I learned valuable lessons of struggle, perseverance, and overcoming adversity during my childhood. My aunt Amparo, a teacher by profession, became a key figure in my life. Alongside her husband, Novel, they had a grocery store and a more stable financial situation than the rest of the family. I spent wonderful moments at their house in El Guanito, learning life lessons and enjoying the abundance found in simplicity. Over time, my mother met an exceptional man who became my stepfather. His arrival brought a radical change in our lives. Linares, as he was known, was a man with a strong character but a noble heart. He educated me and taught me the importance of being a strong, educated, and self-sufficient woman. He always told me that knowledge is power and that I should never depend on a man for money. At the age of fourteen, I fell in love with a boy from the neighborhood, which caused conflicts between my stepfather and my mother. Although that love story was filled with passion and deceit, I understood over time that it all happened for my own good. These experiences shaped me and taught me to be strong and make decisions based on my own personal growth. At nineteen, my father and paternal grandmother gave me the opportunity to move to the United States. I arrived in New York in 1997, with dreams and aspirations in my heart. It was a fresh start in a country full of opportunities. My adaptability and gypsy mindset allowed me to face challenges with bravery and determination. My life in New York was not easy at first. I lived in a small apartment in Downtown, known as "Little Italy." Despite the limitations, I found the strength to adapt and move forward. Every day, I strived to learn and grow, seizing the opportunities that came my way. Today, I can proudly say that I am an empowered and successful woman. My career in real estate has allowed me to achieve the financial stability I always dreamed of. Additionally, I share my passion and knowledge through guides and advice to my clients, providing them with the same positive energy and life perspective that has led me to success. My story is a testimony to the power of resilience and believing in oneself. Through all the adversities, I learned to use emotional intelligence, discipline, and faith as fundamental tools to achieve my goals. My life motto is simple yet powerful: "If I can do it, so can you." I invite you to dive into the pages of this book and discover how you can apply these principles to your own life. Allow me to be your guide and motivation as you achieve the abundance and success you deserve. Remember that every obstacle is an opportunity for growth, and you have the power to transform your life. Trust yourself and courageously move towards your dreams! With love and gratitude,
