Fiona McDonnell is a business leader with over three decades of experience running global businesses at organisations including Amazon, Booking, Nike and McCormick. A TEDx speaker and writer of the Substack, The Turquoise Bit, she brings fresh thinking to complex challenges, helping leaders and organisations think and lead differently. She was voted Diversity Leader of the Year at the 2019 Tech Leaders Awards. Important alongside her work is the time she spends with her husband and two boys, and keeping fit. Fiona takes a lot of her inspiration for writing and leading from all these moments.

My Author Journey: In 2017 I gave a keynote speech on International Women's Day, taking lessons from my career and creating abstract metaphors to make it engaging and memorable. The session got great feedback and the concept turned into a development session. When the pandemic created turbulence in so many people's work worlds, I decided to put my stories and advice into writing. Book two was inspired by a personal dilemma eight years ago, (shared in detail in the book) I started looking differently at how we make decisions, why so many fail, and what it takes to make trust travel.

I hope they provide inspiration.
