Erin Martin has built a successful 20-year career on the written word. She is co-author of FIT TO SERVE, a memoir she wrote with James C. Hormel, a member of the Hormel meatpacking family and the first openly gay US ambassador. Erin is a former journalist for The Hartford Courant and former deputy press secretary and speechwriter to US Senator Christopher J. Dodd. In the 1990s, Erin managed political development programs in post-Apartheid South Africa and Namibia. Returning to New York City in 2001, she joined The September 11th Fund, a charity that distributed $500 million to victims of the World Trade Center attacks. Later, she worked at Strategy XXI Group, a Madison Avenue consulting firm. Erin writes both fiction and non-fiction.
