Emma is an award-winning freelance journalist specialising in medicine, health and biosciences. She has written for the BBC, The Sunday Times, BMJ, Pulse, The Lancet, Pharmaceutical Journal and more. In addition to regular news and features, Emma has also carried out in-depth investigations into health claims and products, NHS services and public health spending. She is co-founder of Freelancing for Journalists, an associate lecturer at Sheffield Hallam University and vice-chair of the Medical Journalists' Association. Originally from Bradford, Emma now lives in Sheffield with her partner and three children and runs up hills for fun.
