Ember Markussen, author of Sanctuary, weaves a life of soulful storytelling and shadow work. A writer and a healer, she conducts transformational breathwork sessions in addition to writing regular contributions to Enchanted Living magazine. Ember is a sought-after storyteller and a Sister of Avalon, where she continues her priestess training. She holds undergraduate (Smith College) and Master’s (UCI) degrees in History, and is certified in Breathwork, Reiki, and End-of-Life Doula Work. Ember is passionate about feminine energy, sacred union, conscious parenting, authentic expression, and the creation of a New Earth through slow living. Her cottage of creation is in Southern California, for now. She mothers two children, two cats, and three ducks, and devotes herself tending her own hearth.
